Your first and most important decision: Human or Fiend? This choice cannot be changed without wiping your character.

Recommended

Recommendation

For most players, especially beginners: Choose Human

  • Access to both weapons AND contracts
  • Better endgame potential with devil contracts

Choose Fiend if:

  • You want a challenge (Hard difficulty)
  • You prefer specialized, focused builds
  • You like unique regeneration mechanics
  • You're willing to accept the limitations

About Clans

Both races can spin for clans during character creation. Matsuda is a common last name with no buffs. You can use Clan Rerolls (obtained from codes or loot boxes) to try for rarer clans with buffs.
