Division Guide

Everything you need to know about Public Safety divisions, their captains, locations, and which are the best divisions in Devil Hunter to choose.

What Are Divisions?

Divisions are the hierarchical structure of Public Safety in Devil Hunter. Each of the 6 divisions is led by a captain and has its own starting quest. While many players ask "what are the best divisions in Devil Hunter?", the truth is divisions don't provide long-term advantages - they only affect your starting quest difficulty.

⚡ Quick Recommendation: Division 1, 2, or 5 have the easiest starting quests. Pick any of these if you want the simplest start.

Where to Find Division Captains

Many players have trouble finding division captains in HQ. Here's exactly where they are:

Floor 1

Division Captains 1, 2, and 3 are located on the first floor of HQ.

  • Renji Takeda (Division 1)
  • Dr. Ayaka Mori (Division 2)
  • Yurei Oda (Division 3)

Floor 2

Division Captains 4, 5, and 6 are on the second floor. Use the elevator to access Floor 2.

  • Kaoru Nishima (Division 4)
  • Sana (Division 5)
  • Izan Yumei (Division 6)

⚠️ Common Issue: If you can't find Division 4-6 captains, make sure you're using the elevator to reach Floor 2! It's located at the opposite side of the room as Kintoki.

⚠️ Conflicting Information: There are different reports about division switching:

  • Official Guides: You must perform a full account wipe to change divisions

We recommend verifying in-game or asking the community about the current division switching mechanics, as the game may have been updated.

Best Divisions in Devil Hunter

Since divisions only affect your starting quest and don't provide long-term advantages, the best divisions in Devil Hunter are the ones with the easiest starting quests:

  • Division 1, 2, or 5 - Easiest starting quests, great for beginners
  • Division 2 - Houses the crafting table for convenient access
  • Division 5 - Fastest quest (just buy from black market and use elevator)
  • Avoid Division 3 and 4 - Much harder starting quests with no extra rewards

Playing with friends? Choose the same division to progress together, as divisions determine who you start quests with.
