Katana Devil Hybrid Guide

Complete guide to getting Katana Devil hybrid in Devil Hunter. Learn requirements, how to join Yakuza, defeat the Katana Man raid, and unlock this powerful transformation.

⚠️ IMPORTANT: This is one of the hardest challenges in Devil Hunter. You'll need to be in Yakuza faction, complete a difficult 2-phase raid, and you'll lose all your contracts when you become Katana Devil hybrid.

What is Katana Devil Hybrid?

Katana Devil is a hybrid transformation in Devil Hunter that gives you a powerful moveset based on the Katana Man devil from Chainsaw Man. This is one of the first hybrid forms introduced in the game.

Transformation Ability

Press L to transform into Katana Devil form. Your character model changes to the hybrid appearance with unique abilities.

Powerful Moveset

The Katana Devil hybrid has its own unique abilities: Z move is a dash, X move is a counter, and C move is a ground snap. The damage output is insanely high.

Requirements to Get Katana Devil

Before attempting to get Katana Devil, you must meet these requirements:

Be Yakuza Faction

You must be in the Yakuza faction. Public Safety members cannot get Katana Devil hybrid.

High Rank & Good Stats

Be a high rank and have well-developed stats. The Katana Man raid is extremely difficult and you'll need to be at your best.

Party of 4 Players

You'll need a full party of 4 players. You cannot beat this raid solo. Bring friends who are skilled and preferably have gun proficiency.

6 Katana Fragments

Collect 6 Katana Devil fragments from the raid. Each raid completion gives you a chance (not guaranteed) to get a fragment.

💡 Tip: The raid has a 1-hour cooldown. You don't automatically get a fragment when you kill Katana Man, so be prepared to farm multiple times.

How to Become Yakuza

If you're not already Yakuza, you'll need to join the Yakuza faction first. This is a permanent decision - you cannot return to Public Safety.

Step 1: Find the Yakuza Hangout

Press N to open missions, select "Mission: Cleanup Duty - Outskirts", and start it to find the Yakuza hangout.

Location: Go down past the underpass, look for yellow text above the entrance indicating it's open.

Step 2: Complete Yakuza Quest

Talk to the Yakuza leader. You'll get a quest requiring:

• Kill 5 Public Safety players
• Earn 80,000 money

Fastest way: Spam "Cleanup Duty - Commercial District" missions for 15,000 money each.

Step 3: Join Yakuza

Return to the Yakuza hangout after completing the quest. You'll become a Yakuza member and your rank will change (e.g., to Senior Advisor).

⚠️ CRITICAL WARNING: Joining Yakuza is permanent. You cannot return to Public Safety without wiping your character. Read our Yakuza Guide for complete details.

Katana Man Raid Guide

The Katana Man raid is one of the hardest challenges in Devil Hunter. Here's how to beat it:

Raid Overview

• 2-phase raid - Very difficult boss fight
• Requires party of 4 players
• First phase: Clear dungeon levels with Yakuza NPCs
• Fight Ghost Devil mid-boss
• Final boss: Katana Man (2 phases)

Boss Strategy

For the Katana Man boss fight:

• When he teleports, dash away immediately
• Hit 3 times, then back up
• Don't attack while he's invisible
• Dodge red attacks (cannot parry them)
• He heals to full health in phase 2

Warning: This fight is extremely difficult. You may need to use Robux to revive.

Glitch Method (Faster Farming)

There's a known glitch to make the raid easier:

1. Buy the 1911 gun from HQ (no mastery needed)
2. Play with at least 1 extra person (for baiting)
3. Reach final boss stage
4. Have your bait teammate aggro boss and climb up
5. Use Heavy move only (R key) to hit boss from below
6. Boss won't aggro you if you only use Heavy

Tip: Higher gun proficiency = faster damage. Can do this with multiple people.

Farming Katana Fragments

You need 6 Katana Devil fragments to create the Katana Devil heart. Here's what you need to know:

Not Guaranteed Drop

You don't automatically get a fragment when you kill Katana Man. This is one of the worst parts - you have to get lucky on top of beating the hard raid.

1-Hour Cooldown

After completing the raid, you must wait 1 hour before you can run it again. This makes farming time-consuming.

Best Farming Strategy

Use the glitch method with a full party of 4 players. The more people you have doing it, the faster it goes. Coordinate with your friends and run the raid repeatedly during your gaming sessions.

💡 Patience Required: This is a grind. Be ready to run the raid multiple times over multiple days to collect all 6 fragments.

Create Katana Devil Heart

Once you have all 6 Katana Devil fragments:

Creating the Heart

1. Open your inventory (` key)
2. Find your 6 Katana Devil fragments
3. Click on one fragment to combine all 6
4. This creates the Katana Devil heart

Eating the Heart

Click on the Katana Devil heart to eat it. This will:

• Give you the Katana Devil transformation
• Remove all your contracts (major downside!)
• Unlock the hybrid abilities

⚠️ Major Warning

You will lose ALL your devil contracts when you eat the heart and become Katana Devil hybrid. Make sure you're ready for this trade-off before proceeding.

Dash - Really quick movement ability

X Move

Counter - Counter attack ability

C Move

Ground Snap - AOE ground attack

R Move (Heavy)

The R move is a critical attack that deals massive damage. Combined with the high damage output, Katana Devil is devastating in PvP.

Soul Bar & Sanity

When transformed, you have a soul bar. To make it last longer, upgrade your sanity stat to increase the red bar duration.

Cons ❌

✗Lose ALL contracts - Major downside, can't use devil abilities
✗Must be Yakuza - Permanent faction change required
✗Very hard raid - One of the most challenging fights
✗Fragment RNG - No guaranteed drop, requires farming
✗1-hour cooldown - Slow farming process
